TITLE DEED

SAMPLE PROPERTY

Price         $60
The price is the amount (of the cheque) you invest in rainierbank.biz. The period is for 12 months, and it bears interest of 2% per annum. You may withdraw at any time. Your "investment" is guaranteed with $150,000 of freehold land, but we will not be requiring anywhere that level of finance. The money will be deposited with Kiwibank, and will stay there for the full term.

Rent       $2
This is the amount you save every week and put in your own bank account. There is a table which shows how much you should save by certain dates.

With 1 House  $10
This is the figure five people would save if they saved $2 per week. It represents the weekly savings of the group, and should be banked in one account.

If a player owns ALL the sites of any Color-Group, the rent is Doubled on Unimproved Lots in that group.

What would be the point of offering to sell Hotels, if the offer to "double the rent" applied only to the unimproved value? There would be none. Nobody would send me $60 if they could get the same interest rate in their own bank. Obviously, by securing all of a particlar colour group you can be certain of having your "rent" doubled, but unfortunately I'm not trusting enough to accept that everyone who sends me $60 actually is banking $2 per week, even though that is how you play the game. Banks need people banking regularly. If they send in $60 plus $50 for a House, then that is the money which will be doubled.
The amount your group saves every week, whether there are just one, five, or ten of you is written on the card alongside the number of houses you are allowed to purchase.
To make the game more transparent, the banker may change from time to time, to ensure that the regular savings are actually being deposited.

You probably still want to know why this is important and why I am "giving away" such a large percentage of interest, and where the money is coming from.

Bill Gates chooses to spend millions on AIDs research. He has yet to write 1 line of code for a web browser. Mr Gates, no browser, no internet!

My offer to Seeka Kiwifruit

Last season I worked with Mr Ali, a devout Moslem man in the packhouse as a grader and a packer, earning $13 per hour. I told the workers I would try to get them another $10 for the season.

Several years ago I was arrested for  trespass when I was talking on site to members of my Computer Operator's Union, Pelecan. I have been issued trespass notices from several business premises for talkin to employees about their wages.

This year I worked for VLS, Seeka's lab for $13.50 hr and as a grader for $14 per hour. Pruners earn $13.50 per hour, and like Uncle, a retired school teacher from Pakistan, work 10 hrs a day 7 days a week for a take home pay of around $700.

I charged Uncle, who usually lives in his own house in Auckland with his married daughter, $70 pw for rent.

My offer to Seeka, now 20% owned by a Japanese company, is that I will pay their workers a bonus of $15 per hour, bringing their wages to a realistic level, but to do this I will have to find around $83,000,000 -$100,000,000

Seeka employ around 3,000 people.

Pickers, I'm told, earned $1.5 per bushel this year. Bins take between 30 minutes and 90 minutes to fill, and contain usually around 16 bushels. 10 bins per day is good going but hard work. Not all the picking is easy. Growers pay around $22 per bin to the contractor.

Rent

This is the amount you each save every week.

Price.

This is the amount you bank with the game. www.rainierbank.biz is not a bank. You are purchasing a game card with the game. For the sake of argument it is more like a limited edition work of art, because you can trade it or redeem it back to us for the purchase price.

You can sell your game card back to the game for a full refund plus 2% interest at any time, just like you would withdraw your savings from a bank.

Check out the properties (from OLD KENT ROAD to MAYFAIR) to decide how much your group wishes to save.

If ALL of any particular colour group are sold, you will receive back (after the end of the year) DOUBLE the price you paid. If you bought a house, (groups of five or more) you will not receive back double that price, however you will receive your house price back in full. If all the particular colour group are sold, you will receive back double the price you invested in a Hotel. All the properties of a particular colour group do not need to be held by one person. You may buy a Hotel or House without owning ALL the properties of that colour group.

Money Too Tight to Mention
I been laid off from work
My rent is due
My kids all need
Brand new shoes

So I went to the bank
To see what they could do
They said son – looks like bad luck
Got-a hold on you

Chorus:
Money’s too tight to mention
I can’t get an un-em-ploy-ment ex-ten-sion
Money’s too tight to mention

I went to my brother
To see what he could do –
He said bro-ther like to help you
But I’m unable to
So I called on my fa-ther fa-ther
Oh my fa-ther
He said

Chorus:
Money’s too tight to mention
Oh mo-ney mo-ney mo-ney mon-ey
Mo-ney’s too tight to mention
I can’t even qual-i-fy for my pension

We talk a-bout rea-gan-on-ics
Oh lord down in the con-gress
They’re passing all kinds – of bills
From down cap-it-ol hill – (we’ve tried them)
Chorus:
Money’s too tight to mention
(spoken) cut-back!
Mo-ney mo-ney mo-ney mon-ey
We’re talk-in’ a-bout mon-ey mon-ey
We’re talk-in’ a-bout mon-ey mon-ey
We’re talk-in’ ‘bout the dollar bill
Now what are we all to do
When the mon-ey’s got a hold on you?
Mo-ney’s too tight to mention
Oh mon-ey mon-ey mon-ey mon-ey
Mo-ney’s too tight to mention
A-mero – mon-ey oh yeah
We’re talk-in’ a-bout mon-ey mon-ey
We’re talk-in’ a-bout mon-ey mon-ey
We’re talk-in’ a-bout mon-ey mon-ey
We’re talk-in’ a-bout mon-ey mon-ey...
